How to update HTC EVO Design 4G to Android 4.0
To check the current software version on the HTC EVO Design 4G:
- From Home screen, press Menu key, then tap Settings.
- In Settings, flick up to then tap About phone.
- In About phone, tap Software information.
- The Phone displays Android Version, HTC Sense Version, Software number, PRI Version and PRL Version. Tap More to see the Kernel version, Baseband Version, Build Number, and Browser version.
- Press Home to return to Home screen.
- If you are not currently on the Home screen, Press Home.
- Press Menu key, then tap Settings.
- Scroll up and tap System updates.
- Tap HTC Software update.
- Tap Check now.
- The device will check for any updates.
- If there is an update available, the device will prompt you to download and install it. You may be required to power the device off and back on to complete the software upgrade.
- If there are no updates available, you will see this message: Your phone is up to date. Tap OK and press Home to return to the home screen.
